Mission 2006

Based on the theme of SURVIVOR and BOOTCAMP, THIS is one of the most comprehensive team builds and has everything in it, from absolute fun to serious group dynamics. The whole group would also wear army overalls which we would supply for the day which works as a good leveler. We can also tailor make this team build into a half day, full day or two day and even three day team build.

Enter the “ops” room for a brief in military style!
We begin by kitting out the delegates with army attire, followed by the brief of the  Mission in the "Ops room" and then we divide the group into platoons

Each platoon then sits in a circle and plays “spin the bottle” to determine ranks within the platoons. We then brief the teams on how to use a GPS. Activities in the Mission depend on what the group has done before as well as their output requirements.

This team build is a type of treasure hunt, run as a project challenge where each team is presented with a manual detailing the entire challenge. In the manual there is a scenario and objective and descriptions of some of the tasks. The challenges are financially based and the team has a startup budget. After each section is completed then the team gets a financial payback. With these monies the team can purchase equipment, training, and consultancy. The challenge is to complete all the tasks on time find all sorts of solutions en-route to finally achieve their goal of finding and defusing the "weapon", and above all, to end with a profit.

The activities in the Mission are all between 10 minutes and half an hour each, held outdoors. These activities provide you with time to assess, to establish a rapport, to have fun and to deal with the basic group process. The Mission focuses on budgeting, project planning, time management, listening, clear concise communication, decision making and problem solving, trust and loads of fun.

Each manual is put together focusing on what you want to achieve from the team build, however all are begun with a few space invaders teaching the teams to work a little closer together.  Pls see below an example of some of the activities often used after the space invaders.

Plus, the Final Countdown
Where all the teams join together with their clues and make their way to "save the World" by retrieving and "disarming "the "weapon" which is the final treasure, the trophy, with we survived and conquered the Ultimate Challenge.

The main idea of the team build is to end up with the most “money “ possible and to locate the “weapon” in allocated time.

Decision-making and negotiating skills are of importance as well as teamwork.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DELEGATES DUE NOT NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT AND CAN BE OF ANY AGE TO PARTICIPATE. THE MOST PHYSICAL PART IS WALKING FROM ACTIVITY TO ACTIVITY
